Streetscape Project
Through the Mississippi Development Authority’s Community Revitalization program, the City of Gulfport received $7.6 Million to give the physical landscape of downtown Gulfport an overhaul. Rennovations will include boulevard restorations, sidewalk expansion, replacement and repair, new street and pedestrian lighting and new street furnishings. Construction began in July 2009 with an anticipated completion date of August 2010.
